Hi fellow coders, parents, and teachers, I’m Gavin from Melbourne, Australia. Thanks for visiting Coding Nemo, your #1 online resource to teach kids to code!
I started learning to code when I was in high school. The first programming languages I got started with were Microsoft Basic and Logo, and my first computer was Intel 386. I can still remember the joy and excitement of watching my first program being compiled and executed.
I continued pursuing my interest in programming and computer science in the university. Fast forward today, I have worked as an IT consultant on different IT projects across Asia and Australia. On the side, I also work on creating automated trading programs for financial markets.
Having enjoyed learning to code since young, and understand the benefits of coding for kids, I always wanted to share what I learned and known with other parents and teachers.
Now as a Dad I set up a journey to teach my son about coding and computer science.
